Food Programs

Union Food Bank 

The Union Food Bank is offered Mothy on the Third Friday from 10:00-11:00 at the Catherine Creek Community Center 667 N Main Street in Union Oregon.  This service is provided by countless volunteers and partnerships with Community Connection of Northeast Oregon and Oregon Food Bank.

Backpack Program

Bags of easily cooked foods are available for youth. Available during Youth Group on Mondays afterschool or by emailing ccccenter667@gmail.com

Gardening and Composting Education 

The Catherine Creek Community Center has partnered with The Roundhouse Foundation and Compost Chick to provide compost, gardening and healthy soil education opportunities. 

Senior and Community Meals

Senior and Community Meals are offered the Second Friday of each month, at noon, at the Catherine Creek Community Center 667 N Main Street (Use Delta Street Entrance).  The volunteer drive program is primarily a social event offered in partnership with Community Connections of Northeast Oregon and the Oregon Food Bank.  There is a suggested donation of $4.00.

Take home meals and deliveries can be accommodated. 

 

The social event is often highlighted by live music performers, Blue Mountain Old Time Fiddlers.

Meals for Youth

The Youth Group operated weekly after school on Mondays and during the summer months.  Meals are provided for participating students.

Our programs are heavily dependent upon volunteers and community donations.
