Spring 2023 Events-Co Starters

The Catherine Creek Community Center has multiple opportunities and events planned for spring 2023.  Events begin with a second Anniversary Auction Celebration on March 4th.  The event will include a silent auction with donations from local businesses and artists.

The Catherine Creek Community Center Thriving Entrepreneur Program funded by the Oregon Community Foundation is hosting Co-Starters Core.  The 10 week class begins March 6th and will be provided on Mondays to support new businesses as they plan and launch their products. The three hour classes are provided in collaboration with Northeast Oregon Economic Development District and Reinventing Rural.

Two renovations projects are planned in the next few months.  The stained glass windows will get new plexiglass coverings.  The Delta Street walkway and ADA ramp will be replaced to assure safe access to the building.

A series of fundraising activities will be launched this March.  The activities will raise funds to stabilize several historic stained glass windows.  The stained glass windows are a unique feature in our community and priority windows have been selected for repair.  Coloring books are available for sale now at $5.00 per book.

The public is welcome to join our regularly scheduled programs. Senior/ Community Meals is held on the second Friday of each month.  The Union Food Bank is held on the third Friday of each month. Youth Group  is held on Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 pm.  A  Preschool Playgroup is held weekly on Friday morning at 9:00 am.  Music and art classes will be held throughout the year.

Our Last Friday’s vendor shows will return on March 31st, 2023.  In addition to vendors, live music and food will be available.
