Catherine Creek Community Center
Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to monitor the security cameras for the Catherine Creek Community Center, approximately 2 hours per month.
Multiple organizations and individuals access the Catherine Creek Community Center at all hours for events, emergency food boxes, cleaning and more.
Responsibilities
Monitor the Arlo security cameras remotely via the Arlo app.
Ensure the security cameras and solar charging panels are functioning properly.
Cross-check the online calendar for building reservations and scheduled use.
Notify the Board of Directors of any security concerns or issues.
Report and track security app and door passwords.
Confirm with the Board of Directors annually—or as needed—if the door key code requires updating.
Maintain communication with the Board of Directors regarding visitors outside of regularly scheduled hours (e.g., contractors, food bank).
Act as the primary contact for the City of Union, Carpenter's House Church or law enforcement if a building breach occurs.
Important NoteVolunteers in this role should never place themselves in dangerous situations. If there is evidence of unauthorized access or a security breach, contact the police immediately.
Requirements and Skills
Access to an iPhone.
Ability to learn and effectively use the Arlo security app.
By serving in this role, you’ll contribute to the safety and security of the community center, ensuring it remains a welcoming and protected space for all.
